Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club originally designed by Denis Griffiths in 1993, this 27-hole course has recently been upgraded on instructions of the new owners by Piraporn Nimatra, who designed Banyan in Hua Hin.
The golf club located in Banglamung Pattaya is a hilly course and has narrow fairways with large greens. There are mountain and sea views however not that many water hazards on the course. The large mango, eucalyptus trees and flowering shrubs give the golf course a natural feel to the layout. The course is well worth playing with its large clubhouse and above average maintenance
Piraporn has worked his magic on the Ocean and Mountain courses and the Lakes course is expected to follow. The yardage is Mountain at 3,449 yards, Lake at 3,261 yards and Ocean at 3,363 yards.The Mountain course has a spectacular view of the famous Buddha Mountain, the Lakes course has many water hazards and ponds along the fairways and the Ocean course offers dramatic views of the Gulf of Thailand.
