Alpine Golf Resort Chiang Mai is situated 45 minutes from the centre of Chiang Mai. Designed by Ron Garl and opened in 2008, it is one of the best golf courses in Chiang Mai.
The course has beautifully designed holes (27 holes) in the valley of the San Kamphaeng Region. With the surrounding mountains creating a picturesque and almost serene round of golf.
One of my favourite holes is the par 4 Ninth Hole on the A course which has an island fairway; therefore, you are having to hit over water twice to make it to the green. You must also be aware the winds are nearly always against you making this one of the most difficult holes to navigate.
This is such a beautiful course to play with great facilities which include a restaurant serving excellent food, a well-stocked pro shop and very nice locker rooms.
Alpine Golf Resort is one golf course in Chiang Mai not to be missed when venturing North of Thailand.
